Archipelago Ring Route

The season for the Archipelago Ring Route begins June 1. and is open for your pleasure until September 30. You can choose between two equally enjoyable ways to travel, from the north or from the south.

The route is 250 km long. Cyclists can choose how to break up their journey on a day-to-day basis, depending on how they feel. Those traveling by motor vehicle can pace their journey with longer distances between the stops. While cyclists can comfortably complete the entire circular route in three days, we recommend adding one reserve day. When traveling by car, three days allow plenty of time.

You can purchase our inexpensive Ring Route accommodation package from 50 Euros/per person/ night in a double room. We can arrange accommodations for families as well as for people traveling alone. We are happy to help you with planning your itinerary. Please call us. We are at your service whenever you need assistance.

Åland by Bike

The Archipelago Ring Route can conveniently be combined with a visit to Åland and its surrounding islands. One can start the biking trek along the Archipelago Ring Route, diverting from the original Turku archipelago sightseeing by touring the picturesque archipelago of Åland. Hence, you can begin the bike tour in Turku while riding towards Kustavi (69 km from Turku). From Kustavi you can fetch a ferry to the Island of Brändö,which is recommended for an overnight stay.

The following morning continue the journey to Åland mainland. Board a Viking Line ship at Mariehamn to return to Turku. For those who prefer riding to the Kökar Island for another overnight stay, there is a possibility to continue the journey to Korppoo Island by an Åladstrafiken shipping company ferry.

The archipelago is an area of many possibilities and traveling there is not expensive. A four day tour will cost
200 Euros/per person. The price includes accommodation in a Bed and Breakfast for three nights as well as ferry fees. If you are not a bike rider, you may visit Åland driving your own vehicle. Please contact us for planning a suitable itinerary for you and your travel companions.
